So you spotted a bunch of cyclists, perhaps even a roller-blader tearing down the streets of JHB?
Not uncommon, if fact this occurs the last friday of every month...
...and its called "CRITICAL MASS"
In cities around the world people have been wheeling together under the banner of CRITICAL MASS to reclaim the streets of their home towns. Now it's our turn.
Get your bikes, rollerblades, skateboards and unicycles out of the garage and start cleaning them up. We're going to hit the Johannesburg CBD in early spring and show the streets what they were really made for.
Traditionally the Critical Mass movement is about an unofficial, unsanctioned rally on all forms of self propelled wheeled transport that brings into focus things like safety, car-free social time on city streets and re-using the inner city's facilities for social interaction.
